Mobile, Ergonomic Design
The sleek and stylish LifeBook S6110 is an essential for any mobile professional. Weighing just 1.75kg1, about an inch thin, and as slim and flat as an ordinary A4 size file, the LifeBook S6110 slips easily into briefcases, hand luggage and fits snugly in the hand. A more ergonomic, curved frame with sleek, rounded edges makes the LifeBook S6110 easier to handle and carry. The design includes a full-sized keyboard and large 13.3" XGA display, while a touch pad offers users a better, more comfortable grip when controlling the on-screen cursor.
Comprehensive Range of Features and Options
Powered by the Mobile Intel® Pentium® III processor, LifeBook S6110 is an ultraportable built for optimum performance, with a wide variety of features and options to choose from. The hot swappable2 mobile slot is able to accommodate a PC card slot for additional connectivity with external peripherals or an additional battery for extended usage beyond the 3.5 hours afforded by the notebook's standard battery pack. Users can even slot in a 2nd hard disk drive for increased data storage capacity when required.
In addition, the LifeBook S6110 has a versatile built-in Combo drive that allows users to playback DVDs, or backup vital business data on CDs. The LifeBook S6110 comes bundled with a port replicator which allows connectivity to a large number of external interfaces. Simply dock on the LifeBook to the port replicator for instant access to the network. The LifeBook S6110 also incorporates an infrared receiver for added wireless data exchange with compatible devices like PDAs and mobile phones.
Instant Wireless Connectivity
Besides Infrared capability, the LifeBook S6110 also features integrated 802.11b Wi-Fi compliant wireless connectivity and a Bluetooth™ PC card option. Mobility is one of the key advantages of ultraportable notebooks like the LifeBook S6110. Wireless access to office networks and hotspots makes the most of this advantage by empowering users to be truly "mobile". Wireless connectivity allows busy professionals to get connected without being tied to any one physical location, be it checking email, confirming flight reservations or arranging appointments with clients. Unique Security System
Security is an increasingly important business issue. The LifeBook S6110 comes with a special feature that allows users to 'lock' their notebooks securely. Four numeric security buttons offer a total of over 800,000 possible password combinations, protecting any sensitive information in the user's LifeBook from any unauthorized access and usage.
