Fujitsu Rolls Out InfraCare in Hong Kong
Customers to Enjoy Global IT Services from a Single Point of Contact
Hong Kong, February 1, 2002 — Fujitsu Hong Kong Limited today announced the launch of InfraCare in Hong Kong, the Fujitsu Group's worldwide IT infrastructure services for companies with local and international IT networks.
InfraCare global infrastructure services span the full IT project lifecycle for enterprises from consulting and design to building, operating and support. Via InfraCare services, Fujitsu offers outsourcing, managed services and project services for data centre, network and end-user environments. InfraCare can support end-users in over 100 countries and gives Fujitsu customers a single point of contact on all matters relating to infrastructure support.
InfraCare simplifies tasks such as managing complex IT assets and multi-vendor relationships, allowing customers to lower their cost of ownership, and focus their resources on their core business, rather than on managing the complexity of their IT infrastructure.
" Today's launch of InfraCare in Hong Kong is significant, as China enters the WTO, " said Yau Kan, Director, Fujitsu Hong Kong Limited. " Hong Kong's well-established IT infrastructure makes it the perfect location as a hub to expand into China. The timing of our InfraCare launch aims to take advantage of this development. We intend to provide our first-class IT infrastructure services to all companies with global, regional or local needs. Through InfraCare, Fujitsu is committed to making our customers' success as our own."
Ted Devlin, Senior Director, Global Services, Fujitsu Limited, said " IT should be a tool for success, not a burden. As companies grow organically and internationally, their IT infrastructure becomes more and more complex. InfraCare aims to take away all the challenges a company faces in planning, procuring, installing and managing an IT infrastructure, from the desktop to the backend mainframe services, from local to global needs. Managers should be free to focus on their strengths and grow their company. That is InfraCare's mission."
Yau added: " In this challenging economic climate, every resource needs to be fully utilised and enjoy the highest productivity levels. Optimising one's IT investment is critical to a company's success. With over 45 years' IT services experience and a leading player in the market, Fujitsu's customers can be assured of the best IT infrastructure services available in the marketplace."
Supported by a global team of 60,000 skilled services personnel, InfraCare is backed by Fujitsu's proven methodologies, solution innovation and proven flexibility in delivering IT infrastructure, from consultation to implementation and ongoing management of services.
