Fujitsu Introduces the Stylistic LT P-600 - Next Generation Pen Tablet PC with Compact and Ergonomic Design

Hong Kong, November 16, 2001 — Fujitsu Hong Kong Limited today introduces a new member to the Pen Table PC Stylistic family - LT P-600 with compact and ergonomic design. Since data is input by a pen instead of keyboard, it makes the Stylistic an ideal mobile solution for mobile enterprise professionals.

With 10 years of experience, Fujitsu is the undisputed leader in pen tablet PC marketplace. A recent market study published by International Data Corporation (IDC) shows that Fujitsu holds a 57 percent worldwide share of pen tablet market and 63 percent in the United States.

Stylistic LT P-600 houses a powerful ultra-low voltage mobile Pentium® III 600/300MHz processor supporting Intel® SpeedStep technology for improved performance and lower power consumption. This latest pen tablet PC comes standard with both a built-in 56K V.90 modem and an integrated 10/100 Base-TX Ethernet for communication in a variety of computing environments. It is available with either Windows 98 Special Edition and Microsoft's Pen Services 2.0 or Windows 2000 Professional. All models include Communication Intelligence Corporation's (CIC®) Pen X software.

Stylistic LT P-600 has nearly tripled its storage capacity by adding a shock-mounted 15GB hard drive and up to 256MB of RAM. It is integrated with ATI® RAGE MobilityTM-M with 4MB of video memory to the system for improved graphics.

More important, Stylistic LT P-600 is the first pen tablet PC which features a software recovery tool from PowerQuest®. This application provides a secure area directly on the LT P-600's hard drive where data can be backed up to guard against system failure and restore the pen table PC's hard drive to the original installed condition. This system efficiently reduces downtime and eliminates the need for a system recovery CD. It is also the first pen tablet PC incorporates a built-in Smart Card Reader which provides a wider range of applications, such as secured online transactions, personalized authentication services, access to personal data and "e-cash" storage options.

Measuring 9.6 inches wide by 7.1 inches deep by 1.1 inch high and weighing 2.65 pounds, Stylistic LT P-600 incorporates a built-in "hotpad" for easy numeric data entry. It receives Fujitsu's signature cool silver color and magnesium alloy casing for improving the overall durability.
