New ScanSnap S1500 & S1500M models improve compatibility and PDF enhancements

Hong Kong, Jan 13, 2012 — Fujitsu has updated the S1500 and S1500M with enhanced software bundles to meet the needs of today's consumers. The S1500 and S1500M are the best selling models of Fujitsu ScanSnap line of simple, compact and speedy "one-touch paper-to-PDF" personal document scanners. The new models go on sale globally starting December 2011.

More and more customers around the world are choosing the ScanSnap series of personal document scanners as they are the best at delivering speedy “one-touch” digitization of paper documents to PDF files.

To provide today's ScanSnap customers more value from their scanned documents, Fujitsu has enhanced the software capabilities in the hugely popular S1500 and S1500M. Windows® and Mac® version software on the same disk
Like the S1300 and S1100 models, the 1500's software package includes both Windows and Mac versions, so customers with both S1500 and S1500M can install applications for either model from the same DVD-ROM; this includes the highly valued business card manager software CardMinder (Win) and Cardiris (Mac)¹. From documents to business cards, ScanSnap is ready to support any needs in almost any user environment.
