Fujitsu M10 UNIX Server Achieves World-Record Performance Once Again on Two-Tier SAP® SD Standard Application Benchmark with 20% Less CPU Resources

Tokyo, February 27, 2015 – Fujitsu today announced that the Fujitsu M10-4S UNIX server running Oracle Solaris 11 and Oracle Database 12c set a new world record (as of December 2, 2014) on the two-tier SAP® Sales and Distribution (SD) standard application benchmark, achieving 153,050 SAP SD benchmark users with 20 percent fewer CPUs than in the previous world record result achieved by the Fujitsu M10-4S configuration, also on the two-tier SAP SD benchmark.

Tokyo, February 25, 2015 – Fujitsu today announced that its Fujitsu Group Environmental Report 2014 has been awarded the Award of Merit in Environmental Report Section as part of the 18th Environmental Communication Awards, sponsored by Japan's Ministry of the Environment and the Global Environmental Forum. Fujitsu was recognized for its stance of resolving environmental issues through its business, the way that its Environmental Report explained, in a quantitative and easy-to-understand way, its performance in the three-year Fujitsu Group Environmental Action Plan Stage VII, which outlines the company's targets in resolving issues, and its external communications in the form of a continuing dialogue on the environment.

Fujitsu Laboratories Develops Technology that Streamlines Network Operations by Rapidly Pinpointing Trouble Spots

Kawasaki, Japan, January 28, 2015 – Fujitsu Laboratories Ltd. today announced that it has developed a technology that, in the event of a cloud network failure, enables even non-experts to identify the impact of that failure on virtual systems - within 10 seconds. Up until now, when there were network failures, networking experts worked with server administrators as they needed to investigate the relationship between virtual systems and physical networks. This process could take over three hours in the case of a large-scale cloud environment.
