  • Fujitsu Develops Low Power Consumption Technology for 5G Kawasaki, Japan, HK, 06 September, 2016 - Kawasaki, Japan, September 06, 2016 - Fujitsu Laboratories Ltd. today announced that it has built a prototype wireless unit incorporating inter-subarray coding technology, which makes it possible to achieve high-speed transmissions, in excess of 10 Gbps, for 5G mobile wireless base stations and access points. It has achieved these high speeds whilst maintaining low power consumption levels on par with Wi-Fi. In verification tests, the prototype successfully transmitted signals simultaneously to multiple devices.

  • Kyushu University, Itoshima City, and Fujitsu Begin Field Trial Using Automatically Evolving AI to Facilitate Relocation Fukuoka, Itoshima, and Kawasaki, Japan, HK, 24 August, 2016 - Fukuoka, Itoshima, and Kawasaki, Japan, August 24, 2016 - The Fujitsu Social Mathematics Joint Research Unit within the Institute of Mathematics for Industry at Kyushu University, Itoshima City in Fukuoka Prefecture, and Fujitsu Laboratories Ltd. today announced the start of a joint field trial that, using a form of artificial intelligence that automatically evolves to gradually learn human preferences, seeks to match people wanting to relocate to Itoshima to appropriate candidate locations within the city.

  • Mizuho Bank and Fujitsu in FinTech Field Trial Tokyo, HK, 12 August, 2016 - Mizuho Bank, Ltd. and Fujitsu Limited today announced that they have launched a field trial aimed at providing electronic invoicing and payment and automated accounts receivable reconciliation services using electronic invoicing (EIPP) and financial EDI. The field trial is based on an agreement, signed by the two companies on July 29, to investigate invoice and payment digitization and accounts receivable reconciliation automation services.

  • Fujitsu, Others Develop High-Speed Authentication Technology for Encrypted Communications with IoT Devices Kawasaki, Japan, Global, HK, 19 January, 2016 - Kawasaki, Japan, Global, January 19, 2016 - Fujitsu Laboratories Ltd. today announced that, in collaboration with the University of Tokyo and Toho University, it has developed authentication technology for Internet-of-Things (IoT) devices that reduces the time needed for authentication in the Transport Layer Security (TLS)(1) cryptographic protocol by nearly 80%, compared to previous methods with the same security strength. The TLS protocol, which is widely used in PCs and other devices, employs public key cryptography.
