Corrected issues:
  • Fixed the issue where an application error might occur when the driver received both DisableDS and CloseDS before receiving OpenDS from an application on Windows® 8.1 or later.
  • Fixed the issue where a gamma pattern parameter specified for any of the following image types might be also applied to the other image types: binary, gray, or color.
  • Fixed the issue where an application error might occur when the TWAIN driver was used while six or more units of fi Series scanners were being connected.

  • Fixed the defect that error occurs when “CAP_PRINTER” is issued by the scanner equipped with the imprinter.
  • Fixed the defect that the driver hangs up when it is closed in the middle of scanning with documents still left on the ADF paper chute.
  • Fixed the defect that the Software Operation Panel hangs up when it is launched while the driver is being used.

This driver version supports Scanner Central Admin. Customers that want to use Scanner Central Admin, but have a scanner model which does not come bundled with the software, must download "FtaarsX1_SR.exe" and install Scanner Central Admin Agent.

Download file has been a self-extracting format.

By executing the downloaded "FtaarsX1_S.exe" or "FtaarsX1_SR.exe" file, program will be extracted in the same directory where the file exists. In case there is an existing driver, uninstall it before executing the file. Execute the "Setup.exe" in the created "¥Disk1¥TWAIN¥98ME2KXP" directory to start the driver installation.

How to install Scanner Central Admin Agent

  1. Double-click the downloaded FtaarsX1_SR.exe file. This creates a directory called "\SCAAgent".
  2. Open that directory and double-click the "Setup.exe" to start the installation.
  3. Refer to Scanner Central Admin User's Guide for the further details on how to install “Scanner Central Admin Agent Update”.
Note:
This driver can be used only with the supported scanner models.
This update is not required if there is no problem in your operating environment.
Before installation, please log in as administrator first.
