How to decode and expand the downloaded files for Macintosh

All of files are compressed and encoded in both MacBinary and BinHex formats.

Download the MacBinary format file or BinHex formats file.
(We suggest you try the MacBinary format first.)

Example-1. Using Internet Explorer

  1. Your web browser should decode the file and you will see a StuffIt archived file appear on the desktop (or in your default download folder).
    The StuffIt archived file size will differ from the page description size. The page description size is the encoded file size.

    [For Example]
    • Page description
      fire_driver_r3.sit.bin -> 394,880 Bytes
    • After download
      fire_driver_r3.sit -> 394,705 Bytes

    If your web browser does not automatically decode the file, you will need to use a decoding utility (such as Aladdin StuffIt Expander) in order to decode the MacBinary or BinHex format file.

  2. Use Aladdin StuffIt Expander 5.1.2 or a similar utility to expand the StuffIt archived file.
    (This may have been done automatically when you decoded the file).

Example-2. Using Netscape Navigator

  1. Your web browser should decode the file and you will see the StuffIt archived file appear on the desktop (or in your default download folder).

    The StuffIt archived file size will differ from the page description size. The page description size is the encoded file size.

    [For Example]
    • Page description
      fire_driver_r3.sit.hqx -> 544,764 Bytes
    • After download
      fire_driver_r3.sit -> 394,705 Bytes

    When you quit Netscape Navigator, the "fire_driver_r3.sit.hqx" disappears automatically.
