When setting up your scanner -QA4-

Q4.	How are files created when scanning documents in batches?

A4.

If you scan 10 pages, the file (s) is/are created as follows:

One file is created when the PDF format (.pdf) is specified. (Simplex: 10 pages, Duplex: 20 pages)
One file is created per page scanned when the JPEG format (.jpeg) is specified. (Simplex: 10 files, Duplex: 20 files)
Since the JPEG format does not support multi-page scanning, scanned images cannot be saved as one file.
When "Allow automatic blank page removal" is activated, blank pages are deleted automatically.
