[Notice]
If you are using Windows® 7 (64bit), complete and send the application from the Download Request Form for ScanSnap Setup Programs page to obtain the Setup Programs. (Be sure to apply this Update Pack after the installation.).

Modifications

• ScanSnap S510 (ScanSnap Manager V4.1) now supports the Windows® 7 environment.

Operating Procedures

Be sure you log into Windows® as a user with administrator privileges.
Note: The update online function is not supported by this Update Pack.

1. Install the content of ScanSnap S510 Setup CD onto the Windows® 7 environment.
2. Download ScanSnap Manager (S510) Update Pack for Windows® 7 (ss5xxminiwwup2.exe) onto your hard drive.
3. Quit any other applications that are running on your computer. Stop any scanning operations if you are using the scanner.
4. Execute "ss5xxminiwwup2.exe" that you downloaded in step 2.

Note:

1. The ScanSnap Manager version does not change. However, you can check whether the update is successfully applied by doing the following:
   
   From Windows® Start button, go to [Control Panel] → [Program] → [Programs and Features] and select ScanSnap Manager. Check that ScanSnap Manager version is "V4.1LXX(Windows® 7)" after update is complete.

ScanSnap Organizer Update Pack

[Notice]
If you are using Windows® 7 (64bit), complete and send the application from the Download Request Form for ScanSnap Setup Programs page to obtain the Setup Programs. (Be sure to apply this Update Pack after the installation.).

Modifications

1. This update pack will resolve the following malfunctions when ScanSnap Organizer is used with Windows® 7.
   
   • The [PDF automatic conversion] tab does not display in the Options screen, so the user cannot change the settings for automatic conversion.
   • Acrobat does not start up even when the Acrobat search function is executed.
   • BMP files cannot be printed.
2. ScanSnap Organizer Viewer is supported.

2. Download ScanSnap Organizer (S510 and S500) Update Pack for Windows® 7 (OrgW3214-S510S500.exe) onto your hard drive.
3. Quit any other applications that are running on your computer. Stop any scanning operations if you are using the scanner.
4. Execute "OrgW3214-S510S500.exe" that you downloaded in step 2.

After completing the update, please refer to the README file prior to use.

ScanSnap Manager / Organizer / CardMinder Download (S510)

1. Addition of ScanSnap Organizer Viewer function
2. Adittion of the preview function with Scan to Print

Operating Procedures

When using Windows® 2000, Windows® XP or Windows Vista® log in as a user with "Administrator" privileges.

1. Download ScanSnap "Scanner model name" Update Pack (SsWS510up.exe) onto your hard drive. Ex: C:\ScanSnap update.
2. Execute the ScanSnap Update Pack programs one at a time (SsWS510up.exe) that you downloaded in step one.
3. The software modules (Setup.exe, Software folder) are unzipped.
4. Activate the version of ScanSnap S510 Update Pack.

• Now that you have completed updating your affected applications (ScanSnap Manager, ScanSnap Organizer and CardMinder), please refer to "README" of ScanSnap Manager, "README" of ScanSnap Organizer and "README" of CardMinder prior to activation.

• Installation Condition
  
  1. ScanSnap Manager V4.1 (L12 / L13) has already been installed.
  2. The update is only applied to applications of the target version.
  
  The following table shows the target version for the update and the new version after the update.
