The SCSI & cable for fi-5900C/fi-4860C2

If you use other SCSI boards for fi-5900C/fi-4860C2, scan operation may become unstable.

If you use ADAPTEC SCSI card 29160/39160, make sure you install the proper drivers and updates as described below:

1. Use the driver attached to the SCSI board.
You can download the driver for each OS from the following websites:

• For ASC29160

  http://www.adaptec.com/en-US/support/scsi/u160/ASC-39160/

2. Install ASPI version 4.70 or above.
(For Windows 95, install the ASPI version 4.60.)
You can download the driver from the following website.
(Please note that if you use "FUJITSU TWAIN32 Version9.x", ASPI driver is not required.)

• For Windows 98, NT4.0, Me, 2000 and XP

• For Windows 95
  http://www.adaptec.com/en-US/speed/software_pc/aspi/aspi32_exe.htm

If you use Windows XP, the following operations are also required.

3. Please update the driver using the patch file provided by ADAPTEC.
Please update the driver from "Driver update" in the "Device manager".
The update file can be downloaded from the following website.

4. For other OS, refer to the following ADAPTEC website for the driver update.
