Q5.	What are the cleaning cycles for all models?

A5.	To keep your scanner operating properly, it has to be cleaned periodically. Not cleaning the scanner may result in frequent misfeeds or a shorter replacement cycle of the pickup roller or pad. Note The cleaning cycle may be shortened depending upon the type of paper being scanned, especially if the scanned documents contain pencil marks. Non-carbon paper contains chemicals which may damage the pad or rollers. Please pay attention to the following notes. Cleaning: In the case of frequent miss picks when scanning non-carbon papers, clean the pad and pick roller. The life of the pad, pick roller and feed rollers may decrease if coarse papers are scanned. For the tables for the cleaning cycles and consumables, please see the "Consumables List" page.
