| A4. | Paper JAM/Double feed problem may be much improved by fan the papers or put them on the feed tray correctly.
Please refer to the procedures below. This problem also occurs when the scanner requires cleaning. Please refer to the Operator’s Guide and clean the scanner. |

Fan the papers
- Hold the papers on the sides, fan the papers and make sure all the pages are not stick together.
- Also hold the papers on the other sides and fan the papers.
Put the papers into the feed tray
- If you use the following scanners, please do not follow the procedures below.
M3099, M4099D, fi-4990C, fi-4860C, fi-4530C
Put the paper into the feed tray but make sure the edges, closest to the scanner, are not completely lined up.
It should look like a set of flat stairs.
