Q3. How does the scanner connect to the computer?

A3. It depends on the interface your scanner uses.

For example, when your scanner is equipped with a SCSI interface, you need the following:
  • SCSI board
  • Driver software for a SCSI board
  • SCSI cable, compatible with the SCSI board, and the scanner connector

Note
  • For scanners that are equipped with a VIDEO interface (M3093EX, M3093DE, M3096EX, M3097E, M3099EX/EH), you need a controller board and a connecting cable in addition to a driver for the interface card.
  • FJ TWAIN drivers and ISIS™ drivers are bundled into all fi-series scanners except for ScanSnap.
