Modifications
"Update Pack1" is only intended for ScanSnap S300, S510 and S1500 users who are using the "Scan to Microsoft SharePoint"
function to link with Microsoft® SharePoint®.
"Update Pack1" is intended to correct a malfunction, which affected Windows® operating systems that had been
updated with either Windows Update's "Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 Service pack1" or ".NET Framework 3.5 Family Update"
after January 27, 2009.
- Malfunction
A malfunction occurs, when Windows® operating systems have been updated with either Windows Update's "Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 Service pack1" or ".NET Framework 3.5 Family update program". This malfunction prevents computers that are running ScanSnap Manager and / or ScanSnap Organizer with "Scan to Microsoft SharePoint" linking functionality with Microsoft® SharePoint® Server. It also causes one of the following linkage error messages to appear when the computer is turned on and / or logged into.

- One of the following operating system error messages appear when the computer is linked to an S300, S510 or S1500 scanner.
The malfunction occurs with computers that run on one of the following operating systems:
ScanSnap S300/S510/S1500
- Windows® XP Home / Professional (32bit)
- Windows Vista™ (32bit/64bit)
Operating Procedures
Be sure that you log into Windows as a user with "Administrator" privileges.
Note: If the old version of "Scan to Microsoft SharePoint" has been installed, uninstall it prior to installing
the updated version of "Scan to Microsoft SharePoint".
You can uninstall the old version of "Scan to Microsoft SharePoint" from the "Control Panel".
- Download "ScanSnap S300/S510/S1500 Scan to Microsoft SharePoint Update Pack1(S2MSP_V334SSUP.exe)" into your hard drive.
- Shut down any other applications that are running on your computer.
- Execute "S2MSP_V334SSUP.exe", which you downloaded in procedure 1.
- "S2MSP_V334SSUP" will be created in the same folder that the above file was stored in and update related programs etc. will be saved in the same folder.
- Execute "Setup.exe" in the "S2MSP_V334SSUP" folder and proceed to follow the procedures that are given by the installer.
Note: Please note that the Windows Installer that appears on your monitor differs for different operating systems. The following example shows "Windows Installer 3.1" when it is used with ".Net Framework 2.0".
- Restart the computer or ScanSnap Manager.
