ScanSnap Manager

1. Use ScanSnap Manager with Windows Vista
2. Use the following new functions (Scan2Folder, Scan2E-mail and Scan2Print)
3. Use ScanSnap's automatic image rotation function with Korean documents
4. Switch linked applications by launching the desired application
5. Use new default profiles (Windows Vista)
6. Configure carrier sheet settings to meet the attributes of each profile
7. This version of the program offers the Auto Length checkbox in the Additional custom size settings dialog box to enable automatic length detection
8. You can now change the compression rate in five levels in color high compression mode
9. You can now add up to 10 applications in the Application list

ScanSnap Organizer

1. Use ScanSnap Organizer with Windows Vista
2. Assign passwords to PDF files when attaching them to e-mail messages
3. Set your ScanSnap to send you a warning message when the combined size of files attached to an e-mail message exceeds a predetermined value
4. Specify printer name and number of copies to be printed when printing PDF and JPEG files
5. You can now view a list of file names in the main window
6. You can now sort file names by "Type" or "Date created," and in ascending order or descending order
7. The position of displayed "Pop-up Thumbnail" becomes fixed
8. You can now change multiple file names at one time
9. The function name "Folder Link" has been changed to "Shortcut to folder."

CardMinder

1. Use ScanSnap CardMinder with Windows Vista
2. Use ScanSnap CardMinder with Office2007
3. You can now recognize Chinese (Traditional, Simplified) and Korean business cards
4. You can attach the file at the personal recovered
5. You can now update the program online

Operating Procedures

Please ensure that previous versions of these applications (ScanSnap Manager, ScanSnap Organizer and CardMinder) have been installed prior to installing this update.

Be sure that you log into Windows Vista 32-bit as a user with "Administrator" privileges

1. Download ScanSnap "Scanner model name" Update Pack (ssv3120up.exe / OrgW1020.exe / cm3110.exe) onto your hard drive. Ex: C:\ScanSnap update.
2. Shut down any other applications that are running on your system.
3. Power off or disconnect the ScanSnap scanner.
4. Execute the ScanSnap Update Pack programs one at a time (ssv3120up.exe / OrgW1020.exe / cm3110.exe) that you downloaded in step one.
5. Although this ScanSnap Update Pack asks that users reboot their system after executing each program, you can avoid having to do this numerous times by selecting "Reboot later". Selecting "Reboot later" will enable you to complete upgrading your ScanSnap with only one reboot.

• Now that you have completed updating your affected applications (ScanSnap Manager, ScanSnap Organizer and CardMinder), please refer to "README" of ScanSnap Manager, "README" of ScanSnap Organizer and "README" of CardMinder prior to activating it.

• Applications affected by this ScanSnap fi-5110EOX2 Update Pack (Vista support) are not automatically downloaded by "online update".

ScanSnap Organizer Download ( fi-5110EOX2)

Modifications

1. The failure by ScanSnap Organizer to display an error message when linked to a non-existing file has been corrected.
2. The error where "KB" was displayed instead of "KO" as the file size unit in the French environment has been corrected.
3. The failure by ScanSnap Organizer to indicate when a PDF file has been edited or modified (ie trimming or stamping) has been corrected.

Operating Procedures

When using Windows 2000 or Windows XP, log in as a user with "Administrator" privileges.

1. Download ScanSnap Organizer Update Pack2 (PfuSsOrgUp2.exe) onto your hard drive.
2. Shut down ScanSnap Organizer and any other applications that you may be using.
3. Activate the version of ScanSnap Organizer Update Pack2 that you downloaded in step one.

• Now that you have completed updating your ScanSnap Organizer, please refer to README prior to activating it.

• When executing from online update, the above-mentioned procedure is unnecessary.
  Execute the update following the instructions showed on the online update screen.
