GeoStream A500 Features

The GeoStream A500 Series Ethernet-PON System offers the most cost-effective features in the telecommunications industry:

1. Fiber Cost Savings: Two-way traffic on a single-core fiber

• The GeoStream A500 Series allows 2-way traffic on the same fiber path, allowing more cost-effective and efficient use of fiber resources.

2. Space Saving

• About 2000 subscribers on a single 2200mm (19 inch) rack.
• Maximum 384 subscribers per system (A550).

3. Scalability and Easy Expansion

• Ethernet-PON System offers high bandwidth:
  Down Stream: 100 Mbps shared among subscribers.
  Up Stream: Static bandwidth assignment (3-100Mbps per subscriber ) or Dynamic bandwidth assignment (up to 100Mbps).
• Easy to add new subscribers, so easy network expansion guaranteed.
• One A550 accommodates 12 fiber interfaces, each supporting 32 branches, allowing a maximum of 12 x 32=384 subscribers.

4. Advanced Features

• IGMP snooping function allows for efficient transmission of Multicast data such as live video stream.
• VLAN function provides sufficient security between end users.
