What is Interstage Business Application Manager for .NET?
Interstage Business Application Manager for .NET is a middleware product that supports the development and operation of business systems. It applies OLTP technology, refined by Fujitsu during the construction of mission-critical systems, to the Microsoft .NET Framework.
To simplify the management and operation of business systems, Interstage Business Application Manager for .NET provides functions that enable multiple applications to be executed and managed as a single job. These functions include business application management that maximizes the use of server resources; job request control that guarantees stable response; cluster linkage that makes it possible to operate continuously all day, every day; concurrent modification that allows jobs to be added without stopping operations; and concurrent maintenance that enables business applications to be replaced dynamically. Together these capabilities make it possible to build and operate business systems that are safe and stable.
In the area of business system development, functions are provided to develop and debug business applications using the high-productivity
tool "Visual Studio .NET". Business applications can also be deployed to the production environment, which speeds up the
development of business systems.
Functions are also provided to allow seamless linkage with existing business systems in J2EE (*1) environments or CORBA (*2)
environments. These make it possible to utilize Interstage on UNIX systems, J2EE-compatible application server products from
other vendors, and systems built for mainframes.
