Interface adjustment
By using the definition tool for the easy data format interface adjustment, the interfaces are not only created and changed,
but various interfaces (CSV, DTD, etc.) also are imported. Non-XLM data (fixed length, variable length, CSV, etc.) as well
as XLM data are available.
Messaging
Not only communication protocols and messaging conforming to standards, such as JMS (Java Message Service), SOAP (Simple Object
Access Protocol), but also file transfer (FTP) are supported. Also, the interface adapters and the conversion parts for linking
with existing systems are provided, thereby allowing you to reconstruct the system gradually by making use of the existing
assets. Enterprise Edition supports CORBA as well as traditional SOAP/JMS/FTP.
Full-featured & Highly Reliable Messaging (Enterprise Edition only)
The adoption of full-featured and highly reliable message queue and message accumulation DB enables you to recover the data
loss from Service bus at the destination just in case and assure the integrity and the order of the asynchronous transactions.
Mediation
The part group (mediator function) for absorbing the differences of interfaces among services enables you to easily support
the system change without changing programs by absorbing the differences of interfaces through parameter definition change
during service call-up.
Common Interface
Common interface to use Interstage Service Integrator is provided. The use of common interface allows you to develop the applications
using the services in the same manner. This enables to improve the development efficiency of applications using the services.
Integrated Development Environment
The integrated development environment (Interstage Service Integrator Studio) works as an Interstage Studio plug-in.
(1) Definition edit
The use of integrated development environment (Interstage Service Integrator Studio) allows you to easily define a series
of flow such as the protocol, character code, and data format conversions, and the destination specification in the visual
operation screen. For example, you can define how to process and edit the messages flowing through Service bus in the image
of arranging icons of part group provided by the mediation.
(2) Test support
The test of the created definition is enabled by preparing the input data for Service bus and the result data of service calls
beforehand, thereby allowing you to check a series of conversion definition and the call-up of parts. Integrated development
environment (Interstage Service Integrator Studio) allows you to check the operations before and after its execution for each
part and easily check the test of the created definition.

Web based management console allows you to use and change the call-up amount, the average process time, and so on for each
business linkage according to the monitoring and the condition.
(2) Operation & Maintenance
The independent execution of service linkage for each business allows you to stop and maintain the business system without
impacting on other businesses. Also, it enables you to hot plug the linked service and change in the degree of multiplicity
according to the business process amount, and manage the system efficiently, such as the operation test of new services utilizing
the low load time zone in the production environment.
