Fujitsu Named "Best-in-Show" at BPM Tech Show

Selected Among 12 Competitors as Delivering the Most Compelling Presentation; Votes Cast by Impartial Group of Independent Evaluators

SUNNYVALE, Calif. November 4, 2008- Fujitsu Computer Systems Corporation today announced that Interstage® Business Process Manager was named "Best in Show" by the attendees of the BPM Tech Show, which ran October 14-16, 2008, in Tysons Corner, Virginia. Fujitsu, the BPM market leader, tied with Lombardi Software with each receiving an equal number of votes from participants representing approximately 100 independent evaluators of BPM software.

Taking place at various locations in the U.K. and U.S. since 1996, the BPM Tech Show has emerged as the leading event focused exclusively on minimizing risk and accelerating decision making related to BPM software selection. Attendees at the recent event represented a wide variety of government and commercial organizations seeking BPM solutions.

Among the BPM Tech Show attendees polled, 80 percent stated their decisions to purchase were "greatly influenced" by what they saw presented. Of these, 60 percent stated they expected to purchase a BPMS solution within 6 months, and nearly 90 percent cited expectations to do so within a year. Attendees at the show also stated that they anticipated budgets for BPM software to range from $150,000 to more than $1 million.

Attendees watched a series of presentations delivered by 12 invited vendors and ranked each presentation based on its perceived value and overall quality. At the start of the show, several vendors also participated in a moderated "shoot out" session, demonstrating their approach to addressing a specific business process use case. "Our unique differentiation lies in being able to help customers quickly get their BPM initiatives off the ground. We have an innovative approach to discovering and visualizing a customer's existing business processes and can then seamlessly transition them to a platform that supports continuous process optimization," said Ryosuke Mori, executive vice president, Software and Strategy, for Fujitsu Computer Systems. "Fujitsu is committed to continuing our dialogue with customers, prospects and industry experts to ensure we continue to deliver a best-in-class BPM solution."
