TKC Corporation creates the world's first XBRL business financial system

June 1, 2004 – Tokyo, Japan- The following two systems were built based on Microsoft's .NET framework by utilizing consulting support from Fujitsu's Interstage XBRL Processor.

TKC e-filing System (e-TAX1000)
The TKC e-filing system incorporates an "outgoing and incoming module" and "electronic signature module", developed by the National Tax Agency. The system links with the business processes of TKC's filing system for corporate account settlement, allowing the efficient confirmation of electronic signatures, data transmission and receipt notification.

The system fully complies with the software specifications of the national government's electronic tax filing system (e-Tax).
The TKC e-filing system can seamlessly link computers in TKC members' offices (a total of 9,000 tax accountants and certified public accountants in Japan) to servers in TISC (the TKC Internet Service Center). Financial data on 580,000 Japanese companies stored in TISC can then be instantly transformed into XBRL instances in response to each request from TKC member for use as e-filing data.

TKC's Database for the Publication of Financial Document
In April 2002, the "Bill for partial amendments to commercial law and others" went into effect. This bill aims to promote the digitization of corporate documents in Japan. In response, TKC established a "Database for the Publication of Financial Documents" which is an Internet website for TKC's partner companies.

By using this system, TKC's partners can publish their financial documents without charge via the Internet, rather than relying on existing government bulletins or daily newspapers. In addition, in the near future, TKC plans to provide a download function for XBRL data.
