FCRAM™
FCRAM (Fast Cycle RAM) is the Fujitsu's unique memory featuring low power consumption and high-performance. Fujitsu has developed FCRAM product families based on the FCRAM core architecture and offers Consumer FCRAM and Mobile FCRAM as ASMs (Application-Specific Memories). Fujitsu offers these products in wafer, bare chip, or package forms and provides our customers with system memory solutions to meet their needs along with our SoC/SiP solution. FCRAM products are well-suited for digital-media applications supporting ubiquitous network society, such as cellular phones and digital consumer electronics.

Overview
Improvements in the performance and functions of electronic devices that support our ubiquitous network society are advancing
rapidly. The markets for high-performance mobile phones and digital consumer electronics keep stable growth, and steady
growth of a market for work RAM to support them is also expected.
To satisfy the needs of such RAM market, Fujitsu has developed FCRAM, a high-performance, low power consumption memory.
FCRAM is a RAM core architecture and an acronym of Fast Cycle RAM. Fujitsu has developed FCRAM product families based on
the FCRAM core architecture and offers Consumer FCRAM and Mobile FCRAM as ASMs (Application-Specific Memories).
Consumer FCRAM is a memory adopting SDRAM interface for applications of digital consumer electronics and embedded devices.
Mobile FCRAM is a pseudo SRAM for mobile handsets. Fujitsu offers these products in wafer, bare chip, or package forms and
provides our customers with system memory solutions to meet their needs along with our SoC/SiP solution.

Mobile FCRAM
Mobile FCRAM is a pseudo SRAM originally developed for mobile phones. Currently, Mobile FCRAM featuring both low power consumption and high-speed data transfer performance has been adopted not only for mobile phones but also battery-operated mobile applications such as PDAs, PMPs (Portable Media Players), and portable games.
Features
- Pseudo SRAM for Mobile Applications

- Low Power Consumption: Low operating current & Low data retention current
- High-Speed Data Transfer: Page mode, Burst mode(DDR, SDR)
- Various I/O Configuration: x16/x32, and multiplexed A/DQ or separate A/DQ
- Wide Lineup: 16M-bit to 256M-bit
- Supply Voltage: 1.8V or 3.0V

Consumer FCRAM
Consumer FCRAM is a SDRAM-compatible RAM product for digital consumer electronics and embedded applications. 16M-bit to 128M-bit products are available. Consumer FCRAM has the SiP-oriented design, and Fujitsu proposes a SiP solution, a system LSI device that contains Consumer FCRAM(s) and a logic IC in a single package to meet each customer's need.
Features
- SDRAM-Compatible RAM for Digital Consumer Electronics

- Lineup:
16M-bit to 128M-bit products(SDR I/F): In production
256M-bit to 1G-bit products(DDR I/F): Planning
- Lineup:
- Low Power Consumption

- Supply Voltage: 1.8V
- Low Standby Current & Low Refresh Current
-power-down mode and various refresh functions to reduce current

256Mbit Mobile FCRAM
Overview
MB82DDS08314A Package View

Fujitsu is now offering 3 types of 256Mbit Mobile FCRAM featuring high-speed data transfer.
MB82DDS08314A adopts double data rate (DDR) burst mode and it is capable of high-speed data transfer performance up to max.
1 Gbyte/sec. In the DDR burst mode, twice data read-out per one clock period are executed and thus high-speed data transfer
is achieved.
MB82DBS08314A and MB82DBS16164A adopt the conventional single data rate (SDR) burst mode and provide an ideal solution for
customers who need large RAM density with an existing SDR pseudo SRAM interface.
