Fujitsu's Approach
As a first step of approaching FlexRay, Fujitsu has launched the FlexRay Starter Kit in which FPGA contains FlexRay IP.
Fujitsu also has released FlexRay ASSP.
In 2006, Fujitsu is also scheduled to launch the next-generation microcontroller, which is Fujitsu's 32-bit FR core containing FlexRay IP.
FlexRay Starter Kit (MB2005-01)
FPGA prototype board. It contains FlexRay protocol Spec. 2.0.
[Because it is FPGA, it can be upgraded to Version 2.1 (MB2005-10).]
It also can contain the following FlexRay ASSP (MB2005-20).

ASSP FlexRay controller. It is a FlexRay solution in stand-alone format.
It provides several types of MCU interfaces.
Fujitsu has already released, FlexRay protocol specifications are 2.0(MB88121) and 2.1(MB88121A)
FlexRay containing 32-bit core
FlexRay integrated MCU. FlexRay is contained in Fujitsu 32-bit FR core.
The planned FlexRay protocol specifications are 2.1.
