- Fujitsu Develops Technology for Low-Power, High-Performance 45nm Logic Chips
Tokyo, June 18, 2007 – Fujitsu Limited and Fujitsu Laboratories Ltd. today announced their development of a platform technology for 45 nanometer (45nm) generation LSI logic chips, which combines technologies for low power consumption and high-performance interconnect. Compared to previous 45nm technologies on record, the new platform reduces the leakage current that occurs when current is wasted in wait states to one-fifth that of previous levels and reduces interconnect-induced lag times by approximately 14%. The realization of these new 45nm generation platform technologies will enable Fujitsu to offer its customers LSI logic chips that feature even higher speeds, smaller size and lower power consumption than currently available.

- Jazz and Fujitsu to Collaborate on Providing Complete Solution for 90nm and 65nm RF CMOS Foundry Customers
Tokyo, May 25, 2007 – Fujitsu Limited (Fujitsu), Fujitsu Microelectronics of America, Inc. (FMA), and Jazz Semiconductor (Jazz), a wholly owned subsidiary of Jazz Technologies, Inc. (AMEX: JAZ), announced today that they will work together to manufacture System-on-Chip (SoC) products for RFCMOS devices. Under a Memorandum of Understanding signed by the companies, the collaboration is designed to combine superior RF and mixed signal expertise from Jazz and leading-edge existing 90nm and 65nm manufacturing technology from Fujitsu, enabling both companies to deliver high-performance Customer Owned Tooling (COT) foundry services to SoC customers. The alliance will enable Fujitsu to offer Jazz's high-precision RF models and design kits using Fujitsu's 90nm and 65nm low-leakage, leading-edge LSI manufacturing process. The companies will conduct joint marketing and sales activities, and the products will be manufactured at Fujitsu's 300 mm Mie fab located in Kuwana city, Mie prefecture in Japan.

Boston, MA, and Sunnyvale, CA, May 25, 2007 – CorEdge Networks and Fujitsu Microelectronics America, Inc. (FMA) have collaborated to develop the industry’s first 10GbE MicroTCA demonstration. It will be shown at the MicroTCA Summit in Baltimore, Maryland, between May 30th and June 1st. The demonstration is housed in CorEdge’s 2U PicoTCA system, a 3.5” x 13” x 8.5” (H x W x D) platform, which integrates a MicroTCA Carrier Hub (MCH), Power Module (PM), and up to four Advanced Mezzanine Cards (AMCs). Video streams are transferred between two of CorEdge’s 10Gbps programmable AMCs through the 10GbE-capable MCH, using Fujitsu’s MB8AA3020 20-port, 10 Gigabit Ethernet switch chip.

- Epson and Fujitsu Announce Results of Joint Project to Develop Next-Generation FRAM Technology
Tokyo, January 29, 2007 – Seiko Epson Corporation ("Epson") and Fujitsu Limited ("Fujitsu") today announced the results of their joint project to develop next-generation FRAM technology. Since announcing a joint development agreement in June 2005, Epson and Fujitsu have collaborated on development of next-generation technology for Ferroelectric Random Access Memory (FRAM) non-volatile memory. The joint development project was successfully completed recently and produced the anticipated results.

- Mitsukoshi, Shiseido, and Fujitsu Collaborate in "Department Store of the Future" RFID Field Trial in Japan for Cosmetics
Tokyo, January 24, 2007 – Mitsukoshi, Ltd., Shiseido Company, Ltd, and Fujitsu Limited today announced that as part of a project sponsored by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) of Japan, the companies will jointly implement a "futuristic department store" field trial in Japan from January 26 to February 12 to test the expanded use of RFID tags in department stores. For the first time in Japan, RFID tags will be used in a field trial for cosmetics. The field trial is part of a METI-sponsored project commissioned to the Japan Department Stores Association, known as the 2007 Field Trial for Improving Distribution and Logistics Efficiency through the Use of Electronic Tags.
