Fujitsu Releases AccelArray™ Structured ASIC Devices

Tokyo, June 26, 2003 – Fujitsu Limited today announced the release of the AccelArray™ structured ASIC devices that deliver faster, less costly development times through the use of standardized interconnect layers for basic system circuitry and key IP macros embedded in the base master of the architecture. AccelArray ASICs are built on Fujitsu's advanced 0.11-micron process to achieve performance on par with standard cell ASICs in 0.11-micron technology.

Fujitsu Introduces Industry's First Single-Chip 10Gbps Ethernet Switch Chip

Sunnyvale, CA, June 25, 2003 – Fujitsu Microelectronics America, Inc. (FMA) and Fujitsu Laboratories of America, Inc. (FLA) today introduced the industry’s first 10Gbps Ethernet switch chip, MB87Q3050, developed for layer 2 functions in high-performance server designs. The new 10Gbps switch chip enables system designers to develop compact and less costly switches, using high-performance, multi-ported memory that handles simultaneous read and write operation to and from all twelve 10Gbps ports, providing a total bandwidth capacity of 240Gbps.

AMD and Fujitsu Announce New Flash Memory Company

Tokyo, April 1, 2003 – AMD (NYSE: AMD) and Fujitsu Limited (TSE: 6702, "Fujitsu") today announced they have executed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to establish a new Flash memory semiconductor company headquartered in Sunnyvale, California. A Japan headquarters will be located in Tokyo. The new company, to be called FASL LLC, will be based on the integration of AMD and Fujitsu's Flash memory businesses, including their existing joint manufacturing venture, Fujitsu AMD Semiconductor Limited. The new company is expected to begin operations in the third quarter of this year.

Fujitsu, NEC and Toshiba Agree on Common Specifications for "Burst Mode" Pseudo SRAM User Interface

Tokyo, February 17, 2003 – Fujitsu Limited, NEC Electronics Corporation and Toshiba Corporation announced today that they have reached an agreement on common specifications for Pseudo Static Random Access Memory (PSRAM) devices that feature burst mode function enabling fast access operation. Each of the three companies will independently manufacture and market PSRAM products based on the common specifications, which are to be called Common Specifications for Mobile RAM (COSMORAM), with product introduction expected to begin in the first half of fiscal 2003.

Fujitsu Launches its MB90890 Series of 16-Bit CAN Microcontrollers
