Fujitsu Storage Systems ETERNUS
The Quest for Ultimate Performance - SPC Benchmark
September 10, 2007
The spread of broadband internet has greatly affected enterprise information systems. It has also been instrumental in resolving other issues of time, distance and the use and capacity of data. The results are ever greater amounts of data being distributed, accumulated and exchanged in business. Storage systems now take center stage and are perceived as more important than ever before.
Fujitsu has played a significant and committed role in business support for over 40 years, through our enterprise computer system development, deployment and technology innovation. Now by integrating that know-how with state-of-the-art technologies, we are extending that commitment to the development of business storage products with the highest possible performance and reliability.
Fujitsu's long term focus on performance is based on a simple premise. When it comes to information access and retrieval the speed of the system directly affects the customers' business operations. Equally importantly, the ability to store and access information at will, is predicated on a superior level of reliability. Based on these considerations, Fujitsu is providing rock-solid storage products that satisfy customer requirements across a broad range of system sizes and implementation strategies.

Fujitsu subscribes to Storage Performance Council (SPC) (*Note) benchmark testing, as an valid and independent way for customers to judge performance results for a range of operational workloads and large volume sequential transactions. By maintaining membership of that organization, Fujitsu continues its regime of testing ETERNUS storage systems in ways that confirm our approach to the provision of high-performance products remains relevant and state-of-the art.
Fujitsu will continue to develop high-quality storage systems in response to customers' needs and ensure their trust through the highest possible quality.
*Note: Storage Performance Council (SPC) is a nonprofit institute for evaluation of storage system performance, in which major storage vendors participate.
