MHV2 AH Series Catalog
- MHV2040AH : 40GB
- MHV2060AH : 60GB
- MHV2080AH : 80GB

FEATURES
- Large capacity and high performance
Massive capacity has been achieved through the improvement of the head, the media and signal processing method allowing up to 60GB per disk, maximum 120GB per drive (2 disks) high capacity. The high rotational speed (5,400rpm) and the optimized cache(6) control have contributed to read and write operation in high speed. - Low power consumption
The improvement of spindle motor driving method and the power reduction of controller circuit enable to minimize idle power by 0.6watt. It is equal or less power consumption compare with our 4,200rpm drives. - Silence
The improvement of spindle motor driving method and the stiffness of mechanism have achieved to reduce the acoustic noise of 2.6 Bels(1) at idle operation. 10% reduction is in comparison with the former drives. - Shock Tolerance
Improvement of head holding structure to read and write the data of the media enable in high shock tolerance. The drives withstand up to 300Go-p (duration 2ms) operating shock. - High Reliability
320 bit length ECC (Error Correction Code) and S.M.A.R.T.(7) function enable the drives to improve the data integrity.

- 1 bels:
- 1bels=10dB. Unit: sound pressure level.
- 2 GB:
- One gigabyte (GB) = one billion bytes; accessible capacity will be less and actual capacity depends on the operating environment and formatting.
- 3 Rank:
- Energy efficiency based on the Law Concerning the Rational Use of Energy indicates the value obtained by dividing power consumption by the storage capacity (Japan only).
- 4 MB:
- One megabyte (MB) as 1,048,576 bytes for Hard Disk Drives' cache size.
Small portion of buffer memory is used for drive firmware control. - 5 ºC:
- degree C.
- 6 Cache:
- The memory to store the data.
- 7 S.M.A.R.T.:
- The function for monitoring the operation in HDD and predicting the failure.
