ETERNUS Multipath Driver : Features
ETERNUS Multipath Driver supports redundant access paths and load balancing capability between systems for higher operational reliability and greater performance.
Improves system reliability with redundant paths (Path-failover)
In the event of failure, redundant paths ensure continuous access by switching traffic to the alternate paths avoiding system halt.
Load balancing function provides enhanced system performance
Path bottlenecks can be eliminated by distributing access using multiple access paths concurrently. And this improves system performance.
*Note: Load balance function is available with the following products configurations.
ETERNUS DX60/DX80/DX90/DX60 S2/DX80 S2/DX90 S2, ETERNUS DX400/DX400 S2 series, ETERNUS2000, ETERNUS4000, ETERNUS3000 and GR730: with 3 to 8 paths.
ETERNUS DX8100/DX8100 S2, DX8400, DX8700/DX8700 S2, ETERNUS8000, ETERNUS6000, GR740, GR820 and GR840: irrespective of the number of paths.
