• Processors: Unlike other SPARC processors, SPARC64™ V processor have ECC protection on all cache levels to minimize the possibility of processor failure.
• System Control Facility: An independent processor monitors, instantly detects, accurately diagnoses and provides notification of all system failures. Pre-failure warnings can also be detected and corrected before system failure, with all functions capable of remote monitoring.
• Design Standards: The high reliability of this system matches mainframe standards in design and configuration. It also features redundant and hot swappable components such as disks, power supplies and fans. In addition the system can dynamically manage and isolate failures of CPU, memory and I/O bus, allowing business operation to continue using the remaining operational resources.

The latest 64-bit RISC SPARC64™ V processor, like its predecessors, fully conform to the SPARC International V9 architecture standard. They also provide superior transaction performance through the use of parallel instruction processing.

Fujitsu's own high performance crossbar switch technology manages all the inter-processor traffic. Its superior bandwidth provides excellent support for high system or peak load situations caused by OLTP, data warehousing or other channel intensive applications

This is a rack-optimized server node, providing excellent space saving in industry standard racks. Whether used for a single set of tasks or as part of a high availability cluster system, this powerful node can be placed in the same single rack as other servers and storage nodes. This makes it very suitable for use in ISP/ASP or corporate data center environment.
