SAP BW
SAP BW is the central component of SAP NetWeaver Business Intelligence (BI), decision support solution. SAP BW sorts out and stacks collected data from SAP and other vender applications according to a range of purposes.
SAP BW creates analysis reports on various aspects including time, area and products, using the stacked data. Data analysis and reporting can be operated from a Web browser.

SAP ® Business Information Warehouse (SAP BW) Standard Application Benchmark
SAP BW benchmark performance index, consists of two steps. The loading phase and the query phase. In the loading phase, data is extracted from an external database is sorted into an analytical database and a detailed database. In the query phase, the sorted data is analyzed by selected aspects including sales area and products.
Finally, the analysis reports are created. SAP Standard Application Benchmarks for SAP BW Releases available prior to Release 3.0 are not comparable with benchmarks for SAP BW Release 3.0 or later.
