Server System Manager (SSM) is common server management software for SPARC Enterprise UNIX servers, PRIMEQUEST mission critical Open servers, PRIMERGY Intel servers and PRIMEPOWER UNIX servers.

SSM provides graphical server management views and functions for hardware configuration and monitoring in a heterogeneous server environment.

Only one management console is needed to monitor the whole system and pin-point server environment problems. Administration is simplified and workload reduced as all failures can be easily identified from the highlighted displayed view.

Management of hardware and software partitioning is integrated into SSM adding a visualized and intuitive look and feel.

SSM reduces administration loads and enables faster resolution of hardware failure.

SSM provides an integrated management view in a mixed PRIMEPOWER and SPARC Enterprise server system.

Monitoring and control of multiple server systems

Status and configuration of SPARC Enterprise servers can be checked from a SSM console.

All Fujitsu servers in the same site can be listed and their status identified at a glance. Any failed component is identified and visually displayed enabling easy failure investigation.

Resource utilization status (CPU/Memory) can also be monitored.

Partition management

SSM monitors and operates partitions. Configurable items include CPU, memory and PCI slot numbers/status. Partition operations include power-on/off and DR operation.

Configuration and management of Solaris Containers

Solaris Containers can be configured and monitored from the SSM console. Server partition information can be listed on screen. Confirmation of partition information including host name, IP address, partition status and resource allotment (CPU/memory) is also provided on screen.

The SSM console lets you create, change, delete, start and stop partitions.
