All Data bus/Address bus between major LSI protected by ECC

Major LSIs (System Controllers, Memory Access Controllers, Crossbars, I/O controllers, etc.) in SPARC Enterprise are co-developed by Fujitsu and Sun to attain the highest possible reliability. The interfaces between these components, both data bus and address bus information, are protected by ECC. All one bit errors on any interface can be detected and corrected.

Data flow between the I/O Controllers and PCI Express slots is protected using CRC.
