SPARC Enterprise Gains Crown in Two-tier SAP SD Standard Application Benchmark

22th August 2008
In the two-tier SAP® Sales and Distribution (SD) Standard Application Benchmark, SPARC Enterprise M9000 with SPARC64™ VII processors achieved a score of 39,100 SAP SD benchmark users using Oracle10g and Solaris10. This benchmark result was almost 1.1 times the performance compared with IBM Power 595, and 1.3 times compared with HP Integrity Superdome. This benchmark proves SPARC Enterprise has the highest performance in the business application arena.

* For details, refer to chapter “Server configuration of benchmark test”. Performance figures shown here are as of 2008/08/22.
Adding to its supreme business application performance, SPARC Enterprise M9000 has proved its excellent computing performance.
In the integer calculating throughput benchmark using SPECint_rate2006, M9000 showed its superior performance over IBM Power
595. In the large scale parallel processing benchmark for scientific calculation, using SPEC OMPL2001, M9000 achieved 1,456,653.
Furthermore, in the floating point calculation benchmark, using Linpack, M9000 achieved 2023.0 GFLOPS.
SPARC Enterprise certainly offers the optimum platform for business applications.
