For ASP service platforms, systems are required to have high performance and high reliability. SPARC Enterprise T2000 and T1000 were selected for this platform due to its verified performance and high security. With a parallel processing mechanism using max. 8 cores in each UltraSPARC T1 processor, SPARC Enterprise T1000 and T2000 can achieve overwhelming throughput, and swiftly handle large numbers of client requests. Business continuity is also assured due to the rich RAS functionalities including elaborate data protection mechanisms in processors and memory module. With its high security functions and DAIKO DENSHI TSUSHIN’s rich expertise, Solaris OS was another natural choice.

Mr.Akinori Dobashi Vice Director of the Field Support Division talks about the reasons for the choice of SPARC Enterprise.

“At first we had concerns as SPARC Enterprise T1000 and T2000 were completely new to us. But such concerns were swept away through our testing. As a result we judged SPARC Enterprise could satisfy our requirements as our solution platform, with its high reliability and performance. “

System Overview
