Network and VSAM Databases

There is a still a great deal of data contained in network databases and VSAM datasets.

It is desirable to give users the benefits of modern client/server systems with GUI-based screen facilities, but it is also desirable that they have access to the data contained in existing network and VSAM database structures.

PowerAIM provides facilities to allow access to data contained in Network and VSAM databases from a GUI front end.

Organisations may also wish to give users access to corporate data from Web browsers. Existing OLTP applications using network and/or VSAM databases may be made available to a web server using the NETSTAGE gateway.
