ScanSnap Celebrates 5 Million Unit Shipments!

Yokohama, Japan, November 6, 2018 - PFU Limited, a subsidiary of Fujitsu Ltd., the world's leading scanner manufacturer, is proud to announce that as of September 2018, global shipments of its image scanner, ScanSnap have passed the 5 million mark^*1.

The scanner that digitizes information with just one touch, ScanSnap was first released in 2001. From its release, it has been used in various regions throughout the world, in North America, Latin America, Asia, Oceania to EMEA, and has succeeded in achieving 5 million global shipments.

ScanSnap has been evolving continuously since its first release. Constantly reflecting customer opinions to the best of our ability, the ScanSnap iX1500 was launched in October as our flagship scanner with a completely new interface, 5 years after the launch of the iX500. This has led to the new ScanSnap generation with a new brand message, “Capture today. Advance tomorrow.”, representing our desire to assist customers in to expanding their network of people and information.
