Tokyo and Taipei, December 4, 2007 – Fujitsu Limited and the Institute for Information Industry (III) of Taiwan, a non-governmental organization jointly sponsored by the Taiwan government and prominent private enterprises, today announced their agreement to enter into a memorandum of understanding (MOU), to establish a new company in Taiwan that will develop application platforms and provide engineering support based on WiMAX technology from Fujitsu and III. Through the joint venture, scheduled to be established in March 2008, it is anticipated that Fujitsu and III will significantly contribute to the development of the WiMAX industry in Taiwan.
4 December 2007 US: Steve Della Rocchetta Joins Fujitsu as Vice President of CLSI Business Unit for its U.S. Semiconductor Operations

(FMA) today announced that semiconductor industry veteran Steve Della Rocchetta has joined the company as vice president of the CLSI Business Unit. 14 December 2007 Japan: Fujitsu Develops High-Speed, Power-Efficient ReRAM Featuring Limited Fluctuation of Resistance Value
Kawasaki, Japan, December 14, 2007 – Fujitsu Laboratories Ltd. today announced the development of a new type of resistive RAM (ReRAM), a type of non-volatile memory, which combines low power consumption with limited fluctuation of resistance value. By changing the structure of the ReRAM by adding titanium (Ti) to nickel oxide (NiO), and by limiting the current flow from the transistor, Fujitsu Labs has successfully reduced the current needed to erase memory to 100 micro-amperes or less. Furthermore, even in high-speed erasure operations requiring only 5 nanoseconds, fluctuation of resistance value which affects the device's quality has been reduced to one-tenth (1/10th) that of conventional ReRAMs. Fujitsu Labs views the new ReRAM as an alternative to flash memory that combines high speed and low power consumption, in a low-cost embedded memory.
12 December 2007 Japan: Fujitsu Develops Highly-Reliable Multi-Layer Interconnect Technology for Logic LSI Devices for 32nm Generation and Beyond
Tokyo, December 12, 2007 – Fujitsu Laboratories Ltd. and Fujitsu Limited today announced their development of technology that enables high-reliability multi-layer interconnects for logic LSIs for 32nm generation and beyond, by using copper with manganese additives in combination with an ultra-thin film barrier metal. Compared to conventional technology, Fujitsu's new technology effectively reduces line resistance in interconnects, and increases endurance against electro-migration - a cause of LSI degradation over time. This technology will enable Fujitsu to provide highly-integrated high-performance LSIs to customers.
15 October 2007 Japan: Fujitsu Develops "Proactnes II" Network Services Management Solution
Tokyo, October 15, 2007 – Fujitsu Limited today announced the development of Proactnes II, a network services management solution to manage advanced network operations and service quality. This solution will make it possible to visualize and analyze the quality of services over networks as well as smoothly administer large networks, thereby helping network services providers to deliver high-quality services. Proactnes II is scheduled to go on sale in the first quarter of fiscal 2008.
18 June 2007 Japan: Fujitsu Develops Technology for Low-Power, High-Performance 45nm Logic Chips
Tokyo, June 18, 2007 – Fujitsu Limited and Fujitsu Laboratories Ltd. today announced their development of a platform technology for 45 nanometer (45nm) generation LSI logic chips, which combines technologies for low power consumption and high-performance interconnect.　Compared to previous 45nm technologies on record, the new platform reduces the leakage current that occurs when current is wasted in wait states to one-fifth that of previous levels and reduces interconnect-induced lag times by approximately 14%. The realization of these new 45nm generation platform technologies will enable Fujitsu to offer its customers LSI logic chips that feature even higher speeds, smaller size and lower power consumption than currently available.
30 March 2007 Japan: Fujitsu Develops Wavelength Tunable Laser
Tokyo, March 30, 2007 – Fujitsu Laboratories Limited today announced their development of a wavelength tunable laser for 10 gigabits per second (Gbps) dense wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM) optical transmission. As a world's first, the company confirmed stable wavelength tunability and optical fiber long-range transmission of a wavelength tunable laser across 80 kilometers (km), in the form of a XFP-type optical transceiver. This new technology will enable practical application of small, high-performance optical transceivers to support high-capacity and high-reliability optical networks.

Tokyo, August 28, 2007 – Fujitsu Limited today announced that according to IDC Japan's newly released report, "Japan IT Outsourcing Leading Vendor Profile 2007" issued on August 21, 2007, the company was number one in revenues in the Japanese IT outsourcing market for fiscal 2006 (the year ending March 31, 2007). This marks the third successive year in which Fujitsu has ranked first in revenues in the Japanese IT outsourcing market. Tokyo and Taipei, December 4, 2007 – Fujitsu Limited and the Institute for Information Industry (III) of Taiwan, a non-governmental organization jointly sponsored by the Taiwan government and prominent private enterprises, today announced their agreement to enter into a memorandum of understanding (MOU), to establish a new company in Taiwan that will develop application platforms and provide engineering support based on WiMAX technology from Fujitsu and III. Through the joint venture, scheduled to be established in March 2008, it is anticipated that Fujitsu and III will significantly contribute to the development of the WiMAX industry in Taiwan.

Sunnyvale, CA, August 17, 2007 – Fujitsu America, Inc. today dedicated a hydrogen fuel cell on its Sunnyvale campus. The fuel cell provides clean, efficient power for the campus data center and other operations, significantly reducing carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions. Fujitsu, the first Silicon Valley company to install its own hydrogen power plant, has spent a decade making a significant, sustainable investment in enterprise-wide initiatives designed to reduce the environmental impact of its products and operations. The hydrogen fuel cell will provide 50 percent of the power needed to cool the Fujitsu Sunnyvale campus data center and labs, reducing the amount of fossil fuel that must be burned to maintain operations and easing pressure on the local power grid.

31 January 2007 Japan: Fujitsu Reports FY 2006 Third-Quarter Financial Results
Tokyo, January 31, 2007 – Fujitsu Limited, a leader in customer-focused IT and communications solutions for the global marketplace, today reported consolidated net sales of 1,197.6 billion yen (approximately US$10,064 million*) for the third quarter of fiscal 2006 (October 1, 2006 – December 31, 2006), an increase of 6.8% over the third quarter of fiscal 2005. Revenue growth was led by robust overseas sales of IT outsourcing and other services, particularly in the UK and North America, along with higher overseas sales of hard disk drives (HDDs), optical transmission systems, and UNIX servers. In Japan, higher sales of systems integration and other services countered lower sales of PCs and mobile phone base stations.

14 December 2007 Japan: Fujitsu Develops High-Speed, Power-Efficient ReRAM Featuring Limited Fluctuation of Resistance Value
Kawasaki, Japan, December 14, 2007 – Fujitsu Laboratories Ltd. today announced the development of a new type of resistive RAM (ReRAM), a type of non-volatile memory, which combines low power consumption with limited fluctuation of resistance value. By changing the structure of the ReRAM by adding titanium (Ti) to nickel oxide (NiO), and by limiting the current flow from the transistor, Fujitsu Labs has successfully reduced the current needed to erase memory to 100 micro-amperes or less. Furthermore, even in high-speed erasure operations requiring only 5 nanoseconds, fluctuation of resistance value which affects the device's quality has been reduced to one-tenth (1/10th) that of conventional ReRAMs. Fujitsu Labs views the new ReRAM as an alternative to flash memory that combines high speed and low power consumption, in a low-cost embedded memory.

Tokyo, December 12, 2007 – Fujitsu Laboratories Ltd. and Fujitsu Limited today announced their development of technology that enables high-reliability multi-layer interconnects for logic LSIs for 32nm generation and beyond, by using copper with manganese additives in combination with an ultra-thin film barrier metal. Compared to conventional technology, Fujitsu's new technology effectively reduces line resistance in interconnects, and increases endurance against electro-migration - a cause of LSI degradation over time. 18 June 2007 Japan: Fujitsu Develops Technology for Low-Power, High-Performance 45nm Logic Chips
Tokyo, June 18, 2007 – Fujitsu Limited and Fujitsu Laboratories Ltd. today announced their development of a platform technology for 45 nanometer (45nm) generation LSI logic chips, which combines technologies for low power consumption and high-performance interconnect.　Compared to previous 45nm technologies on record, the new platform reduces the leakage current that occurs when current is wasted in wait states to one-fifth that of previous levels and reduces interconnect-induced lag times by approximately 14%. The realization of these new 45nm generation platform technologies will enable Fujitsu to offer its customers LSI logic chips that feature even higher speeds, smaller size and lower power consumption than currently available.
