American Heart Association Nets Record Proceeds From "Swing Fore Heart" Golf Classic

Dallas, TX, July 6, 2006 – The American Heart Association (AHA) today announced record net revenues of more than $189,000 for the 2006 "Swing Fore Heart" Golf Classic, a 66 percent increase from its 2005 event earnings of $125,000 net. The figure also exceeded the AHA's 2006 goal of $150,000 net by 26 percent.

United Co-operatives Selects Fujitsu to Assist in Achieving Growth Plans

Fujitsu Triumphs at European Retail Solutions Awards

Birmingham, June 8, 2006 – Fujitsu and The Body Shop were awarded the 'Project implementation of the year' for an EPoS upgrade project. Around 1,600 Fujitsu TeamPoS 2000 units have been rolled out to over 700 Body Shop stores in seven countries. The retailer is already seeing a number of benefits from the new system.

Fujitsu Research Reveals a Lack of Future Investment in Technologies To Improve the Customer Experience

London, June 6, 2006 – Fujitsu Services, one of Europe's leading IT services companies, has conducted research, in conjunction with the 2006 Retail Solutions conference, amongst Europe's top retail companies to evaluate retailers' current and planned use of technology to improve the customer experience. The findings, to be announced at Retail Solutions today, reveal that the tough economic environment is causing retailers to view technology as an enabler to cutting costs rather than a means of investing in new services to differentiate themselves from their competitors. It also shows that whilst a small number of top retailers are continually investing in improving their offering – the majority of retailers are not planning to invest in new technologies over the next five years.
