21 December 2005 Japan: Fujitsu and Cisco Collaborate to Enhance Network Switch Management and Reliability
Tokyo, December 21, 2005 – Fujitsu Limited, a leading provider of customer-focused IT and communications solutions for the global marketplace, and Cisco Systems, K.K., the Japanese subsidiary of Cisco Systems, Inc., the worldwide leader in networking for the Internet, today announced that they will collaborate to enhance network management and reliability for large enterprises and service providers in Japan. Specifically, Fujitsu Proactnes/SN will be made compatible with Cisco's Generic Online Diagnostics (GOLD) capabilities integrated on the Cisco Catalyst 6500 Series switches. The collaboration is based on the strategic alliance announced by Fujitsu and Cisco in December 2004.

Helsinki, December 14, 2005 – Fujitsu Services Oy was selected as the supplier of an electronic authentication system for the Finnish public administration. The idea is to provide people with a web authentication and payment system, which will be the first nation wide shared service initiative involving the state and municipalities of Finland. 31 October 2005 UK: Fujitsu Says That Banks Should Respond with Better Products for Careful Customers
London, October 31, 2005 – Web shoppers who consider themselves more secure are beginning to demand better rates from banks as a reward, a survey by consumer research group YouGov has found. Almost half (44%) say that banks should reward them for being careful with their personal security online, and a third (33%) think that "security slackers" who are careless with passwords and card details should be penalised by banks.

25 October 2005 Japan: Fujitsu Palm Vein Authentication Technology Wins The Wall Street Journal 2005 Technology Innovation Award for Security in Networks
Kawasaki, Japan, October 25, 2005 – Fujitsu Laboratories, Ltd. today announced that its palm vein authentication technology has won The Wall Street Journal's 2005 Technology Innovation Award, for Security in Networks. Fujitsu's palm vein authentication technology is a biometric technology that recognizes the unique vein pattern of a person's palm, as a highly secure means of personal identification. This technology is extremely difficult to forge compared to other methods of biometric security, since palm vein patterns are internal to the body. Fujitsu's palm vein authentication technology is also hygienic, as the scanning is contactless, thereby requiring no direct surface contact with the scanning device even when used in public applications. Fujitsu has commercialized this technology, which thus far has been implemented in bank ATMs, for room entry access in hospitals and residential condominiums, and for access to personal records and transcripts at academic institutions.

7 September 2005 UK: Fujitsu and Cerner Conclude Contracts for the NHS Connecting for Health NHS Care Records Service in the Southern Cluster
London, September 7, 2005 – After a detailed review, Fujitsu and NHS Connecting for Health signed a Memorandum of Understanding in June 2005 agreeing on the use of Cerner Millennium® software for the NHS Care Records Service in the Southern Cluster, subject to a final contract. The contract signing finalises this agreement. Work on the deployment of Cerner systems had commenced immediately in June and has progressed with 17 trusts in the Southern Cluster while the contract negotiations continued. The first systems will go live at around the turn of the year.

Now, on-demand licenses provide an easy way to cover temporary peak loads. The new version, called WebTransactions V7.0, also opens up additional possibilities to integrate host applications in advanced web-based IT infrastructures. The new software delivers several key benefits: Companies can now run legacy applications not just in the form of Enterprise JavaBeans but also as web services or .NET objects, using the new application components to integrate them in business processes. (CDI) to outfit all of its specialty western-wear stores in the southwestern U.S. As a value-added reseller for Fujitsu retail products, CDI will provide all point-of-sale hardware, software and services to Saba's. 10 January 2005 US: CRS Retail Joins Fujitsu in Reseller Partnership
Frisco, TX and Newburgh, NY, January 10, 2005 – Fujitsu Transaction Solutions Inc. and CRS Retail Systems, Inc. have entered into a partnership agreement under which CRS will become a value-added reseller of Fujitsu TeamPoS 2000 point-of-sale (POS) systems and related services, bundled with its own CRS RetailStore software and other elements of the CRS RetailSuite.
