Munich , December 29, 2005 – Fujitsu Siemens Computers reaffirms its commitment to the United Nations Global Compact, the world's largest voluntary corporate citizenship initiative to promote corporate social responsibility. Augsburg, November 9, 2005 – Fujitsu Siemens Computers, the leading European IT company, announced fiscal year 2005 first half-year financial results* today. President and CEO Bernd Bischoff announced at VISIT 2005 European IT Forum, that the company delivered revenue of € 2,870 million, resulting in a year-on-year growth of 12 percent. The company also announced a 33 percent year-on-year growth in profit before tax of €7 million to € 27 million for the first-half of the 2005 fiscal year, which is the time period April 2005 through September 2005. The company recorded a 21 percent growth in unit volume year-on-year for the first half.

- Fujitsu Palm Vein Authentication Technology Wins The Wall Street Journal 2005 Technology Innovation Award for Security in

Kawasaki, Japan, October 25, 2005 – Fujitsu Laboratories, Ltd. today announced that its palm vein authentication technology has won The Wall Street Journal's 2005 Technology Innovation Award, for Security in Networks. Fujitsu's palm vein authentication technology is a biometric technology that recognizes the unique vein pattern of a person's palm, as a highly secure means of personal identification. This technology is extremely difficult to forge compared to other methods of biometric security, since palm vein patterns are internal to the body. Fujitsu's palm vein authentication technology is also hygienic, as the scanning is contactless, thereby requiring no direct surface contact with the scanning device even when used in public applications. Fujitsu has commercialized this technology, which thus far has been implemented in bank ATMs, for room entry access in hospitals and residential condominiums, and for access to personal records and transcripts at academic institutions.
