Amedia Networks Deploying the Fujitsu MPEG Encoder and Decoder Technology in New Wireless A/V Transmitter and Receiver to be Demonstrated at CES 2007

Sunnyvale, CA, December 21, 2006 – Fujitsu Microelectronics America (FMA), a leader in MPEG-based entertainment technology, today announced that Amedia Networks, Inc., a provider of next-generation residential media gateways, is using the Fujitsu MPEG encoder and decoder technology in its new wireless audio-video transmitter and receiver systems. The new systems will be demonstrated at the 2007 International CES January 8-11 in Las Vegas, Fujitsu booth number 70809. Fujitsu and Amedia also plan to complete a High Definition (HD) solution by using the new H.264 (High Profile, level 4.0) CODEC device. (See related December 11, 2006, press release announcement.) The Amedia design will also be demonstrated in the Fujitsu booth.

Tokyo, December 7, 2006 – Fujitsu Limited and Fujitsu Laboratories Limited today announced their development of a new polymer with a high bio-content that uses castor oil extracted from the seeds of the castor bean. The new bio-based polymer features superior flexibility that can withstand repeated bending. Fujitsu will consider using this new bio-based polymer for small components of notebook PCs and mobile phones, such as connector covers.

Consumers Call for Smarter Technology to Help them Shop

Melbourne, September 19, 2006 – Almost half (47 per cent) of all consumers would increase spending with a retailer, providing the retailer had invested in the latest smart technology, according to a survey of more than 1,000 consumers conducted by ACA Research on behalf of Fujitsu Australia. Fujitsu Services Signs Contract to Acquire Majority Interest in German IT Services company TDS AG

London, December 11, 2006 – Fujitsu Services, the European IT services arm of the Fujitsu Group, today signed a contract to acquire investor General Atlantic's stake in TDS AG for a purchase price of € 2.80 per share. The contract will become effective after antitrust clearance. Further shareholders have offered to sell their shares to Fujitsu alongside General Atlantic. This will take Fujitsu's shareholding to 79.1 percent, making it the majority shareholder in TDS AG.

Fujitsu is Elected to Board of Directors of Trusted Computing Group (TCG)

Tokyo, December 5, 2006 – Fujitsu Limited and Fujitsu Laboratories Limited today announced that Dr. Seigo Kotani, Senior Researcher of the Secure Computing Laboratory of Fujitsu Labs, has been elected to the Board of Directors of the Trusted Computing Group (TCG) for a one-year term by TCG members. The board includes permanent board members AMD, HP, IBM, Infineon, Intel, Lenovo, Microsoft, and Sun. Fujitsu to Release H.264 Format Video-Processing LSI Chip Supporting High-Definition and Low Power Consumption

Tokyo, November 30, 2006 – Fujitsu Limited today announced the development of a new large-scale integrated circuit (LSI) chip capable of real-time compression and decompression of high-definition TV-level video, in H.264 format. The new LSI chip, to be released in March 2007, is based on a H.264 processing algorithm developed by Fujitsu Laboratories Limited and integrates Fujitsu's high-performance audio and video processing technology with its 90nm process technology. This is the industry's first such chip to support H.264 High Profile, Level 4.0 standard used in next-generation DVDs. This LSI enables high-resolution recording, playback, and transmission of high-definition video on audio-visual products such as surveillance cameras, hard disk recorders, and home network equipments.
