29 December 2005 Germany: Fujitsu Siemens Computers Affirms Commitment to United Nations' Global Compact
Munich , December 29, 2005 – Fujitsu Siemens Computers reaffirms its commitment to the United Nations Global Compact, the world's largest voluntary corporate citizenship initiative to promote corporate social responsibility. The international initiative was founded in 2000 by the United Nations and encompasses more than 2,400 participants worldwide in nearly 80 country networks. Together with U.N. agencies, areas of civil society and international organizations, these companies have banded together to promote universal social and environmental principles. For this purpose, the Global Compact has designed ten universal principles in the areas of human rights, labor, the environment and anti-corruption.

14 December 2005 Finland: Fujitsu to Supply Electronic Authentication System for the Finnish Public Administration
Helsinki, December 14, 2005 – Fujitsu Services Oy was selected as the supplier of an electronic authentication system for the Finnish public administration. The idea is to provide people with a web authentication and payment system, which will be the first nation wide shared service initiative involving the state and municipalities of Finland. The service will enable integrated authentication and web payments in all government's electronic access services joined in the system.

Frankfurt, November 30, 2005 – Fujitsu Microelectronics Europe (FME) announced the successful demonstration of a fully functional, IP-based video-on-demand application at the Wireless Broadband Forum in Cambridge, UK. 9 November 2005 Germany: Fujitsu Siemens Computers Reports Double Digit Revenue and Profit Growth for First-Half Fiscal Year*
Augsburg, November 9, 2005 – Fujitsu Siemens Computers, the leading European IT company, announced fiscal year 2005 first half-year financial results* today. President and CEO Bernd Bischoff announced at VISIT 2005 European IT Forum, that the company delivered revenue of € 2,870 million, resulting in a year-on-year growth of 12 percent. The company also announced a 33 percent year-on-year growth in profit before tax of €7 million to € 27 million for the first-half of the 2005 fiscal year, which is the time period April 2005 through September 2005. The company recorded a 21 percent growth in unit volume year-on-year for the first half.

London, October 31, 2005 – Web shoppers who consider themselves more secure are beginning to demand better rates from banks as a reward, a survey by consumer research group YouGov has found. Almost half (44%) say that banks should reward them for being careful with their personal security online, and a third (33%) think that "security slackers" who are careless with passwords and card details should be penalised by banks.

Munich, October 26, 2005 – Fujitsu Siemens Computers continues to outpace the mobile PC market across the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region. The company states 9 percent market share according to IDC's PC Tracker charts* and outpaced the mobility market for the seventh consecutive quarter achieving 60 percent year-on-year growth in mobility product unit sales in the third quarter of 2005 vs market growth of 39 percent. In the desktop segment Fujitsu Siemens Computers enhanced its number 3 position with 13 percent growth vs a market that grew 11 percent.

5 October 2005 France: Fujitsu and ESI Group partner To develop Service-Oiented Solutions for Engineering Process Innovation
Paris, October 5, 2005 – Fujitsu Systems Europe and ESI Group (ESIN FR0004110310) announce a partnership to extend the validation of ESI's world-leading applied mechanics technology with the SynfiniWay™ service-oriented platform for collaborative computing from Fujitsu. The first validation of SynfiniWay with ESI Group products was made with the PAM-CRASH application for crash simulation, a solution that has been deployed in production through the joint pay-per-use Application Service Provider (ASP) business with Fujitsu Systems Europe. End-users connect to the ASP site managed by Fujitsu Systems Europe using a SynfiniWay client interface, which ensures complete run-time security of the compute servers and manages the automatic transfer and encryption of data between the server and desktop machine. 22 September 2005 Germany: Fujitsu Introduces Next-Generation FlexRay™ Controller, Enabling X-by-Wire Technology for In-Vehicle Networks
Frankfurt, September 22, 2005 – Fujitsu Microelectronics Europe (FME) has announced the world's first FlexRay controller featuring version 2.0 FlexRay IP developed by Robert Bosch GmbH. Fujitsu's MB88121, available in sample quantities at the end of September 2005, delivers 10 Megabits per second over two channels. It provides fault-tolerant, deterministic data transmission, which is suitable for the engine control, braking and steering subsystems. It allows designers to apply the advanced features offered by a FlexRay network, while protecting the investment made developing legacy assets and sustaining the reliability of existing products. Fujitsu Microelectronics Europe (FME) will show its new FlexRay™ controller (MB88121) at the International VDI Conference "Systems for Vehicles" in Baden-Baden (Germany), 6th – 7th October.

14 September 2005 Germany: Fujitsu Siemens Computers and Egenera Sign €240 Million Exclusive OEM Strategic Alliance in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA)
Munich, September 14, 2005 – Fujitsu Siemens Computers, the leading European IT provider, today announced an exclusive OEM strategic alliance with Egenera Inc. to bring additional levels of flexibility and economic efficiency into the Dynamic Data Center. To enable customers to increase the efficient operation of IT, Fujitsu Siemens Computers will integrate the award-winning Egenera® BladeFrame® solution in its PRIMERGY server portfolio. This exclusive strategic alliance, worth €240 million ($300 million) over approximately three years, is effective immediately and is valid throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Fujitsu Siemens Computers will become the sole provider of PRIMERGY BladeFrame in EMEA and will start shipping product during the fourth calendar quarter of 2005 in Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Belgium and the United Kingdom. The products will be available in the first calendar quarter of 2006 in all other EMEA countries. In addition, the agreement also serves as a framework for future joint research and development collaboration, joint solution testing and Fujitsu Siemens Computers will have a seat on Egenera`s technology advisory board.
7 September 2005 UK: Fujitsu and Cerner Conclude Contracts for the NHS Connecting for Health NHS Care Records Service in the Southern Cluster
London, September 7, 2005 – After a detailed review, Fujitsu and NHS Connecting for Health signed a Memorandum of Understanding in June 2005 agreeing on the use of Cerner Millennium® software for the NHS Care Records Service in the Southern Cluster, subject to a final contract. The contract signing finalises this agreement. Work on the deployment of Cerner systems had commenced immediately in June and has progressed with 17 trusts in the Southern Cluster while the contract negotiations continued. The first systems will go live at around the turn of the year.

Now, on-demand licenses provide an easy way to cover temporary peak loads. The new version, called WebTransactions V7.0, also opens up additional possibilities to integrate host applications in advanced web-based IT infrastructures. The new software delivers several key benefits: Companies can now run legacy applications not just in the form of Enterprise JavaBeans but also as web services or .NET objects, using the new application components to integrate them in business processes. Additionally, WebTransactions V7.0 supports the standard interface JSR 168 allowing host systems to be smoothly integrated into compatible portals. Berlin, September 2, 2005 – Fujitsu Siemens Computers will today announce at IFA 2005 that Microsoft is integrating elements of Fujitsu Siemens Computers' ACTIVY Media Center technology into the Windows XP Media Center Edition. In the future, the software provider will offer the Fujitsu Siemens Computers ACTIVY technology for DVB* reception of digital TV in its Windows XP Media Center products. Fujitsu Siemens Computers originally developed this technology for its ACTIVY Media Center, setting new standards in the field of flexible digital TV. The two companies have agreed to a technology partnership for the further development of advanced TV solutions.

Tokyo and Berlin, January 21, 2005 – Fujitsu Laboratories Ltd. and Fraunhofer Institute for Telecommunications, Heinrich-Hertz-Institut (HHI) today announced their development of the world's first ultra high-speed optical fiber switch with optical amplification features using nonlinear optical effects of optical fiber, and succeeded in ultra high-speed optical signal processing at 640 gigabits per second (Gbps). The newly developed optical fiber switch features amplification capabilities of 100 times and more over a wide wavelength range, and enables ultra high-speed switching at over 1 terabit per second.
