Fujitsu Announces Resignation of Corporate Executive Officer

Tokyo, January 31, 2007 – Following a meeting of its Board of Directors today, Fujitsu Limited announced the resignation of Yoshiyuki Tanakura, currently Corporate First Senior Vice President and president of the System Products Business Group and Software Business Unit. Mr. Tanakura will become an executive advisor to Fujitsu Limited, effective February 1, 2007.

Fujitsu Reports FY 2006 Third-Quarter Financial Results

Tokyo, January 31, 2007 – Fujitsu Limited, a leader in customer-focused IT and communications solutions for the global marketplace, today reported consolidated net sales of 1,197.6 billion yen (approximately US$10,064 million*) for the third quarter of fiscal 2006 (October 1, 2006 – December 31, 2006), an increase of 6.8% over the third quarter of fiscal 2005. Revenue growth was led by robust overseas sales of IT outsourcing and other services, particularly in the UK and North America, along with higher overseas sales of hard disk drives (HDDs), optical transmission systems, and UNIX servers. In Japan, higher sales of systems integration and other services countered lower sales of PCs and mobile phone base stations.

Fujitsu Announces Record Numbers for Fourth Quarter Hard Disk Drive Shipments

Sunnyvale, CA, January 30, 2007 – Fujitsu Computer Products of America, Inc., one of the world's leading suppliers of innovative computer products including hard disk drives, peripherals and biometric security solutions, today announced its hard disk drive shipment results for the fourth calendar quarter. Shipments of Fujitsu mobile hard disk drives (HDDs) during this period hit a record breaking 7.1M units, an increase of over 39% from the same period last year. In addition, enterprise units for the quarter reached 1.8M units, a jump of 50% from the same quarter in 2005.

Epson and Fujitsu Announce Results of Joint Project to Develop Next-Generation FRAM Technology

Tokyo, January 29, 2007 – Seiko Epson Corporation ("Epson") and Fujitsu Limited ("Fujitsu") today announced the results of their joint project to develop next-generation FRAM technology. Since announcing a joint development agreement in June 2005, Epson and Fujitsu have collaborated on development of next-generation technology for Ferroelectric Random Access Memory (FRAM) non-volatile memory. The joint development project was successfully completed recently and produced the anticipated results.

Telikom PNG Signs Master Procurement Agreement with Fujitsu Australia Limited

Wellington, January 25, 2007 – Telikom PNG, the national provider of telecommunications services in Papua New Guinea, today announced that it has signed a five-year master procurement agreement with Fujitsu Australia Limited for the provision of digital trunk radio systems and corporate IT infrastructure and services. The agreement, the first signed by Telikom PNG as part of a K1.4 billion (US$500 million) expansion and upgrade of its telecoms network, will see Fujitsu become a major supplier and partner to Papua New Guinea's primary telecommunications service provider.

Mitsukoshi, Shiseido, and Fujitsu Collaborate in "Department Store of the Future" RFID Field Trial in Japan for Cosmetics

Tokyo, January 24, 2007 – Mitsukoshi, Ltd., Shiseido Company, Ltd, and Fujitsu Limited today announced that as part of a project sponsored by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) of Japan, the companies will jointly implement a "futuristic department store" field trial in Japan from January 26 to February 12 to test the expanded use of RFID tags in department stores. For the first time in Japan, RFID tags will be used in a field trial for cosmetics. The field trial is part of a METI-sponsored project commissioned to the Japan Department Stores Association, known as the 2007 Field Trial for Improving Distribution and Logistics Efficiency through the Use of Electronic Tags.

Fujitsu Releases Compact Optical Transceivers Capable of High-Performance GPON Transmission

Tokyo, January 19, 2007 – Fujitsu Limited and Fujitsu Laboratories Ltd. today announced the development of the world's first optical transceiver technology capable of operating across a temperature range of -40°C (-40°F ) to 85°C (185°F). These devices, which can also receive burst signals widely with varying optical power, are designed for application in Gigabit Passive Optical Networking (GPON) systems that are being deployed primarily in North America to enable high speed broadband access.
