Fujitsu Announces Executive Appointment

Tokyo, February 27, 2007 – Following a meeting of its board of directors today, Fujitsu Limited announced that Richard Christou, executive chairman of UK-based Fujitsu Services, will also become corporate senior vice president of Fujitsu Limited and head of Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) operations for the Fujitsu Group, effective March 1, 2007. It is planned that Mr. Christou will concurrently serve as chairman and chief executive of UK-based Fujitsu EMEA PLC, a new company to be established in April and located at the London offices of Fujitsu Services.

Fujitsu Implements PalmSecure™ Biometric Palm Vein Authentication System for Electronic Medical Record Access at Hospital Operated by National Institute of Radiological Sciences

Tokyo, February 27, 2007 – Fujitsu Limited today announced that it has implemented its PalmSecure™ biometric palm vein authentication system at the Hospital for Charged Particle Therapy at the National Institute of Radiological Sciences (NIRS) in Japan, for access of electronic medical records. This is the first such implementation ever of biometric palm vein authentication for electronic medical record access. The innovative system enables users to access electronic medical records through a highly secure and user-friendly log-on procedure, thereby helping to prevent unauthorized access of the hospital’s data. The system has been operative since October 2006.

Tokyo, February 8, 2007 – NTT DoCoMo, Inc., Renesas Technology Corp., Fujitsu Limited, Mitsubishi Electric Corporation, Sharp Corporation, and Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications, today announced that they plan to jointly develop a next-generation mobile phone platform(*1) for dual-mode handsets supporting HSDPA(*2)/W-CDMA (3G) and GSM/GPRS/EDGE (2G).
