Regarding Application Seeking Suspension of Import of Infringing Products by Nanya Technology Corporation Japan

Tokyo, August 31, 2007 – As a result of the Tokyo District Court's decision upholding its claims in patent infringement litigation against Nanya Technology Corporation Japan, Fujitsu Limited today filed an application with Japan Customs seeking suspension of the import of infringing products by Nanya Technology Corporation Japan under the Customs Law.

Fujitsu Claims of DRAM Patent Infringement against Nanya Technology Corporation Japan Are Upheld by Tokyo District Court

Tokyo, August 30, 2007 – Fujitsu Limited today announced that the Tokyo District Court has upheld Fujitsu's claims of patent infringement in the lawsuit brought against Nanya Technology Corporation Japan, a subsidiary of Taiwanese semiconductor manufacturer Nanya Technology Corporation. The court found that DRAM products sold by Nanya Technology Corporation Japan infringe upon Fujitsu patent rights, and it granted an injunction against future import and sales of the infringing products, as well as compensation for past infringement.

Fujitsu Remains at the Top in Japanese IT Outsourcing Revenue Ranking for Three Consecutive Years

Tokyo, August 28, 2007 – Fujitsu Limited today announced that according to IDC Japan's newly released report, "Japan IT Outsourcing Leading Vendor Profile 2007" issued on August 21, 2007, the company was number one in revenues in the Japanese IT outsourcing market for fiscal 2006 (the year ending March 31, 2007). This marks the third successive year in which Fujitsu has ranked first in revenues in the Japanese IT outsourcing market. Fujitsu was able to expand its sales of outsourcing services by 9.1%, outperforming the 6.7% overall growth rate in the domestic IT outsourcing market.

80% of Bank Customers Would Consider Switching; Poor Service Number One Frustration According to Fujitsu Consulting Survey

Sydney, August 28, 2007 – In a survey of more than 26,000 retail bank customers, launched today by Fujitsu Consulting, 80 per cent of respondents said they would consider switching financial service providers. In the report, entitled 'Toxic servicing: eroding profitability in the financial services sector', poor servicing (31 per cent) ranked as the number one frustration among financial services customers, three times greater than the next biggest frustration, which is complex terms and conditions (10 per cent).

Fujitsu Invests £44m in New Data Centre Near London

London, August 28, 2007 – Fujitsu Services, one of Europe's leading IT services companies, today announced a £44m investment in a new high specification green data centre. The 65,000 square foot data centre will be built to Tier 3 specifications (see notes to editors 1) it will be designed with the latest environmental features which, together with an IT modernisation programme will save enough electricity to power up to 6,000 homes every year, equivalent to saving 10,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide each year.

Fujitsu Launches Full HD H.264 Transcoder LSI

Tokyo, August 23, 2007 – Fujitsu Limited today announced the development and launch of a new transcoder large-scaled integrated (LSI) chip that can convert full HD (1920dot x 1080line) MPEG-2 video data to H.264 data and compress data size to less than one-half that of MPEG-2. Sample shipments of the new chip, the MB86H52, will start from September 1, 2007. This new transcoder makes it possible to extend recording time of recording devices such as hard disk recorders by over 2.5 times, as the chip enables data size compression without compromising video quality. The transcoder can also be embedded in a multitude of equipment requiring reduction of data size, and can realize full HD over narrower bandwidths used for home network, the use of which is anticipated to spread hereafter.

Langen, August 23, 2007 – Fujitsu Microelectronics Europe (FME) today announces a new transcoder chip that can compress full HD (1920 x 1080) MPEG-2 video data to H.264 data. Fujitsu and Technology Leaders Release Specification for Federating and Accessing Multi-vendor IT Management Data

Tokyo, August 21, 2007 – Fujitsu Limited today announced that the CMDB Federation (CMDBf) working group has drafted an industry-wide specification for sharing information between Configuration Management Databases (CMDBs) and other management data repositories (MDRs), such as asset management systems and service desks. The specification, which the group plans to submit as a standard, is intended to enable organizations to federate and access information from complex, multi-vendor IT infrastructures. The CMDBf was founded in April 2006, and today consists of industry leaders Fujitsu Limited, BMC Software, CA, HP, IBM and Microsoft.

Sunnyvale, CA, August 17, 2007 – Fujitsu America, Inc. today dedicated a hydrogen fuel cell on its Sunnyvale campus. The fuel cell provides clean, efficient power for the campus data center and other operations, significantly reducing carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions. Fujitsu, the first Silicon Valley company to install its own hydrogen power plant, has spent a decade making a significant, sustainable investment in enterprise-wide initiatives designed to reduce the environmental impact of its products and operations. The hydrogen fuel cell will provide 50 percent of the power needed to cool the Fujitsu Sunnyvale campus data center and labs, reducing the amount of fossil fuel that must be burned to maintain operations and easing pressure on the local power grid.
