29 December 2005 Germany: Fujitsu Siemens Computers Affirms Commitment to United Nations' Global Compact
Munich , December 29, 2005 – Fujitsu Siemens Computers reaffirms its commitment to the United Nations Global Compact, the world's largest voluntary corporate citizenship initiative to promote corporate social responsibility. The international initiative was founded in 2000 by the United Nations and encompasses more than 2,400 participants worldwide in nearly 80 country networks. Together with U.N. agencies, areas of civil society and international organizations, these companies have banded together to promote universal social and environmental principles. For this purpose, the Global Compact has designed ten universal principles in the areas of human rights, labor, the environment and anti-corruption.

22 December 2005 Japan: Fujitsu Wins Contract for World's First Library System Using Palm Vein Authentication Technology
Tokyo, December 22, 2005 – Fujitsu Limited today announced that it has been awarded a contract by Naka city in Ibaraki prefecture of Japan, to construct a system utilizing Fujitsu's biometric palm vein authentication technology for the city's new public library scheduled to open in October 2006. 13 December 2005 Japan: Fujitsu Completes Construction of SEA-ME-WE 4 Submarine Cable Network
Tokyo, December 13, 2005 – Fujitsu Limited today announced that the construction of the optical submarine cable network for the SEA-ME-WE 4 consortium has been completed within 18 months. Fujitsu was awarded the contract with co-contractor Alcatel Submarine Networks of France in March 2004. The optical submarine cable network, which links the 14 countries of Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, India, Pakistan, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Tunisia, Algeria, Italy, and France, spans 20,000 kilometers, creating an optical telecommunications network of grand proportions.

30 November 2005 Germany: Fujitsu Demonstrates World's First Complete Video Streaming Solution over Optical Network and WiMAX
Frankfurt, November 30, 2005 – Fujitsu Microelectronics Europe (FME) announced the successful demonstration of a fully functional, IP-based video-on-demand application at the Wireless Broadband Forum in Cambridge, UK. The solution combined FME’s AXEL-F, ETHOS and WiMAX devices to deliver a high-resolution video-stream from a server across optical and wireless networks to an end user.

25 November 2005 US: Fujitsu Announces Successful Conclusion of Federal Emergency Management Agency Call Center Operation
