Fujitsu Siemens Computers Affirms Commitment to United Nations' Global Compact

Munich , December 29, 2005 – Fujitsu Siemens Computers reaffirms its commitment to the United Nations Global Compact, the world's largest voluntary corporate citizenship initiative to promote corporate social responsibility. The international initiative was founded in 2000 by the United Nations and encompasses more than 2,400 participants worldwide in nearly 80 country networks. Together with U.N. agencies, areas of civil society and international organizations, these companies have banded together to promote universal social and environmental principles. For this purpose, the Global Compact has designed ten universal principles in the areas of human rights, labor, the environment and anti-corruption.

Fujitsu ScanSnap Receives Prestigious 2005 Editors' Choice Award from Macworld Magazine

Sunnyvale, CA, December 23, 2005 – Fujitsu Computer Products of America, Inc., a market leader in document imaging scanners and services, today announced that the recently introduced Fujitsu ScanSnap™ fi-5110EOXM scanning solution was named a 2005 Editors' Choice winner by IDG's Macworld magazine, the most comprehensive resource for the Mac® market. The twenty-first annual Editors' Choice Awards (Eddy Awards) for 2005 were officially announced online at Macworld.com on Dec. 12 by the publication.

Fujitsu Wins Contract for World's First Library System Using Palm Vein Authentication Technology

Tokyo, December 22, 2005 – Fujitsu Limited today announced that it has been awarded a contract by Naka city in Ibaraki prefecture of Japan, to construct a system utilizing Fujitsu's biometric palm vein authentication technology for the city's new public library scheduled to open in October 2006. The library system is the world's first of its kind.

Fujitsu and Cisco Collaborate to Enhance Network Switch Management and Reliability

Tokyo, December 21, 2005 – Fujitsu Limited, a leading provider of customer-focused IT and communications solutions for the global marketplace, and Cisco Systems, K.K., the Japanese subsidiary of Cisco Systems, Inc., the worldwide leader in networking for the Internet, today announced that they will collaborate to enhance network management and reliability for large enterprises and service providers in Japan. Specifically, Fujitsu Proactnes/SN will be made compatible with Cisco's Generic Online Diagnostics (GOLD) capabilities integrated on the Cisco Catalyst 6500 Series switches. The collaboration is based on the strategic alliance announced by Fujitsu and Cisco in December 2004.

Munich , December 21, 2005 – Fujitsu Siemens Computers BV, announces that it has reached an agreement with shareholders Siemens AG and Fujitsu Limited to acquire the international Product Related Services Division of Siemens Business Services as of April 1, 2006*. Customers will benefit from Fujitsu Siemens Computers' increased ability to consult, design, implement and service from one source for industry growth segments: Dynamic Data Center and Mobility. The addition of PRS capabilities is designed to increase profitability by strengthening the company's product related service portfolio and solution implementation.

Fujitsu Adds New Manufacturing and R&D Jobs to North Texas Campus

Fujitsu to Supply Electronic Authentication System for the Finnish Public Administration

Helsinki, December 14, 2005 – Fujitsu Services Oy was selected as the supplier of an electronic authentication system for the Finnish public administration. The idea is to provide people with a web authentication and payment system, which will be the first nation wide shared service initiative involving the state and municipalities of Finland. Fujitsu Completes Construction of SEA-ME-WE 4 Submarine Cable Network

Tokyo, December 13, 2005 – Fujitsu Limited today announced that the construction of the optical submarine cable network for the SEA-ME-WE 4 consortium has been completed within 18 months. Fujitsu was awarded the contract with co-contractor Alcatel Submarine Networks of France in March 2004. The optical submarine cable network, which links the 14 countries of Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, India, Pakistan, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Tunisia, Algeria, Italy, and France, spans 20,000 kilometers, creating an optical telecommunications network of grand proportions.

Fujitsu Develops GaN HEMT Technology for Next-generation Mobile Phone Base Station Amplifiers

Kawasaki, December 5, 2005 – Fujitsu Laboratories Limited today announced the development of the world's first gallium nitride (GaN) high electron-mobility transistor (HEMT) with insulated gates capable of practical output levels of 100 watts (W) or higher. By reducing gate leakage current to less than one-one millionth that of conventional levels, the technology paves the way for high-efficiency operation of high power GaN HEMT amplifiers of next-generation mobile phone base stations.
