Tokyo, June 29, 2004 – Fujitsu Laboratories Ltd. and Fujitsu Limited today announced their joint development of a ubiquitous-networking transceiver technology that enables simultaneous voice communication to multiple users from virtually anywhere, by using mobile phone and wireless LAN networks. The new technology, called “Push-to-talk over Cellular/Wireless” (PoC/W), opens up new opportunities when used with PCs, PDAs, mobile phones and other mobile devices in consumer applications, or as part of enterprise solutions to facilitate interdepartmental group communication.

Helsinki, June 7, 2004 – Elisa Corporation and Fujitsu Services Oy have today signed a letter of intent of outsourcing Elisa's desktop and data centre services to Fujitsu Finland. Under the agreement, the management and maintenance of approximately 5,500 desktops and 1,300 servers are transferred to Fujitsu.

The operating system, Microsoft Windows MobileTM 2003 for Pocket PCs, supports numerous entertainment, navigational and Office applications, including Mail, Excel and Word. While both models can connect to the Internet via Bluetooth, the Pocket LOOX 420 also has a wireless LAN interface for a fast connection via hotspot connectivity that can be used in parallel to the Bluetooth connection
