Fujitsu Announces Election of New Corporate Executive Officers
Tokyo, May 17, 2004 — Following an extraordinary meeting of its board of directors today, Fujitsu Limited announced Corporate Executive Officer appointments and resignations to become effective June 23, 2004. In conjunction with a current organizational review aimed at integrating and realigning its Sales Group and Software and Services Business Group, Fujitsu plans to detail the responsibilities of all corporate executive officers on June 23, 2004 (the scheduled date of the annual shareholders' meeting). The new executive assignments will be made with the following objectives: 1) to clarify the roles and responsibilities of corporate senior vice presidents and other corporate executive officers in the product businesses as well as in newly aligned business groups combining Sales and Software and Services, and 2) to enhance group-wide management by furthering personnel exchange among group companies.
