Regarding Media Reports on Semiconductor Business
Tokyo, May 21, 2008 — There were reports in the media today that Fujitsu Limited is negotiating with Toshiba Corp. on a capital tie-up for the semiconductor business. These reports are not based on information released by Fujitsu. Specifically, the reports state that Toshiba will take a majority stake in Fujitsu subsidiary Fujitsu Microelectronics Limited. Fujitsu has no such plan and has not entered into any such negotiations regarding its semiconductor business.
